David Dattner - this guy writes, plays and records his own tunes. An eclectic mix of one-man-and-his-guitar, to a bit of pop via some mellow dance type stuff to some chilled out acoustic songs - I think Opera is about the only genre Dave ain't tackled here.

Stand out tracks for me are;

  • Rushing - if you like AIR, you'll like this. A girl called Wendy Day sings on this, top voice.
  • Maybe - like Supergrass.
  • Undercovers - I just love the intro to this, the rest ain't bad either!!
  • Your Footsteps - a chilled out little ditty featuring the angelic Miss Day.

One thing you can see on Dave's site is that his front room is quite tidy. I like that. I couldn't stand the thought of any of the people I'm listening to living in absolute squaller.
