Week 22

The Naked Novelist is the not so secret guise of Carol Muskoron 'a housewife from North London, who has decided to write a novel live on the internet without a stitch on.' Who can say fairer than that, plus she's sponsored by 'The Camden School of English'! A revolution in school education is just around the corner, I can feel it. You don't get Britney Spears 'writing' her 3rd autobiography in her birthday suit do you?

Artists, such as Carol, need to reveal their soul in order to get great art, Carol gets even greater art by revealing her body as well. The novel Carol is writing at the moment is called 'My Middle Class Girl', and you can read a bit by clicking here.

Carol has also been fighting for the Naked Novelist cause by encouraging other writers to get their kit off in the name of art. There has been a poll and Carol's fans voted for Julie Burchill as the writer they'd most like to see taking up the naked-whilst-writing challenge. I may have chosen a slightly different contestant to take up this challenge, for instance didn't Naomi Campbell write a book? It was horrifying to see Jeffrey Archer get 74 votes to get naked, but relieving to see that another 1,582 people voted for him to keep his clothes on. Check out the results here.
