Week 13 Things Other People Accomplished When They Were Your Age will make you sick. It's a site where you just type in your age and then it spits out a list of things that people had acheived at that age. For example, I'm 27, in order to keep up with the world's top acheivers I should have written a book, gone into space, and discovered that 'inhalation of ether will cause a loss of consciousness'. If you thought Monday mornings were bad, then visit this site just to make it that little bit worse. A further tip to make Monday's the worse day of the week is to watch 'Falling Down' (with Michael Douglas) on the previous Sunday night. It gets bad when you check out people a few years younger than you, then if go to the extreme limits like 5 years old and see that someone actually acheived something of significance back then when you still have done jackshit, that's when it starts to bite. There is a redeeming feature of this site, and that is it lets you know you still have time. At 99 years of age 'Harold Mark Foster of Owensboro, KY, began learning to read', and 'Teiichi Igarashi climbed Mt. Fuji'. There you go, plenty of time to acheive something worthwhile - that is if you live that long. Click here to go to the archives. |
