Recommendation #1:

So, for the first time, it pays to work for the state government. Our dear governor has decided to follow the federal govt's lead and close state government building on Friday. what does that mean???? yeah, that's right... an unexpected day off.

Recommendation #2:

If you are ever going to be in any kind of car wreck, this is how it should be done. So, this morning I am stopped at the drive-thru window to my favorite coffee house waiting for my order. Just before the lady hands me my iced chai latte and my scone.....BOOM. i look in the rearview mirror and see a grill backing up and then a guy getting out of the car. so i put the car in park and get out, too. now here is the recommendation.....if you ever get hit by another car and it isn't your fault and there are witnesses to that and neither occupant is hurt.....i highly recommend that you get hit by a doctor who is driving a lexus SUV and has full in-date car insurance and who offers to pay in cash for the little damage there is instead of having you file with insurance.

that is the way it should always be done!

Remember that Ming Dynasty vase you had in the trunk, plus you were late for an important meeting that cost your career dearly.

Now you know his routine I'd make that coffee an everyday occurence, whilst setting up smoke screens and distractions in the drive through.

Ha! And my faberge egg collection was in there, too.

Actually, it just happened yesterday morning, so I haven't bothered with anything yet. He gave me his insurance info and his cell number so I could call him and work it out with him instead of going through insurance if I was willing to. Actually, the damage is so slight, that I might not even worry about it. In fact, if it were up to me...I'd prefer to have a doctor on call for a year instead of any money. Imagine what I could save in office visit copays! (it might not save many people much money, but as i have a multitude of allergies to different things...it tends to add up). Oooh...and samples of any prescriptions that I need instead of having to pay the pharmacy. wow...that would rock!
