That site looks pretty good.
Don't know any directors really. Which made me think of how I choose films to watch. I think I look at who wrote it or the story of a film, then maybe which actors/actresses are in it. If a movie is on a theme I like then I'll watch it.
I use Netflix all the time now so if there's a good film I just click on the 'Other Films By This Person' button and then choose a few others.
I've watched quite a few films from France and South America recently. Some are good and some are not....it just makes a change from watching American and British films. All the good films I see I post on here. The French ones are really good usually......they have no need for explosions, soppy love scenes, shoot-outs and other cheesy stuff.
So in conclusion, I don't know of any directors and I'm a complete waste of space in this discussion.
I thank you.

If you are looking at directors, then look no further than Akira Kurosawa or Martin Scorcese (in his early films)

i agree with scorcese (sp?) and kurosawa. david lynch.
foreign films (my favorite - once you get past the fact you have to read the entire movie, they rule!)):
jean pierre jeunet, french guy with strange stuff.
pedro almodovar, spanish - typical spanish foreign strangeness.
tom tykwer - the guy who did run lola run.
godard - old french guy - lots of black and white, interesting movies.
hayao miyazaki - japanese animation
others:
roman polanski. john sayles. john carpenter (horror). david cronenberg. sophia coppola.
as always, these people have made crappy films too. it's hit and miss. sometimes.

I'm sure you're already above and beyond this point, but you'd probably like the guy that did Requiem for a dream, name escapes me at the moment.
also the director of 3.14(umm... well, Pi) is the same guy...darren sterrenofsky or something like that I believe. Also, the director of Memento (name escapes me as well)

You've probably already seen plenty by these directors but try David Fincher, Stephen Frears, Guillermo Del Toro, and Alejandro Gonzalez Inniaritu.
You can look them all up on IMDB.com or rottentomatoes.com.
