Logging Onto This Forum

I'm having no problem, but Poop is having a friggin nightmare.

I know what you're thinking - put it down to his 55 IQ points - but I'd like this forum to be easy to use for everyone.

Is anyone else having to log in everytime they visit?

Poop - you say you got cookies enabled, but is it only for 'the current session' or are they permanent? Whatabout the Privacy settings?

When I visit using IE6 or Firebird I get remembered and don't have to log in.

I just want to figure out whether it's a forum problem or Poops Atari.

i'm not saying poop's iq is any higher than 55, but actually, i get logged out too without any reason. it happens if i have made several posts or if i took awhile to write one. it generally happens if i go from one topic back to the index. i check up in the right top corner to see if it says "login to check messages." if it does, i know i have been shiolacized again.

Yeah, I don't want to alienate people through some kind of technical balls up.

Well, I don't do the "automatically log me on" thing. So, yeah, I do log on each time I visit. It was just a problem with staying logged in.

And one more question...what's the deal with the "what the fuck have you done" screen? Is that temporary or permanent? No more reading or posting without logging in, eh?

I've done a couple more little changes to hopefully sort out this logging in problem.

If any of you use AOL, then apparently that has a problem with sessions and kicks you out - nothing I can do about that, you'll have to visit using another browser. Serves you right for using AOL really.

I changed some stuff so this wouldn't happen - I also added a pop up box that is meant to pop up when you post without being logged in - I take it, this isn't happening?
