I used to skate back in the late 80's/early 90's when I was around 12/14. I was never that good - I could crack a decent ollie grab and stuff, but I was never handplanting and McTwisting about the place. Anyway, someone mentioned something about skating today and I was at a loose end and started doing abit of searching on the internet for some of the old boys.
Christian Hosoi, remember him? The closest Mankind ever got to flying without wings. He's only banged up for drugs. Check this interview out - http://www.effection.net/hosoi/
www.SteveCaballero.com - is launching soon. Was, and still is, one of the greatest names ever invented. I'm still thinking of changing mine to Caballero.
http://www.dannyway.com - also launching soon. I remember this guy because he was the same age as me, but he was world class when he was 13 - unlike me. Infact, age is the only thing we have in common - plus we both have two legs.
British skaters will remember our local boy - Sean Goff - he's still producing the magic here - http://www.outlookskates.com/RidersGoff.htm
Natas - street skating legend. Could ollie over The Atlantic if he so chosed. Check out what he's up to now here - http://www.etnies.com/skate/extra/legends/natas/
The best trainers I ever had were a pair of black Airwalks with the velcro bit that covered all the laces.
That's enough reminiscing for now. If I got on a skateboard now I'd probably do some damage....to the street!!! Come on!!!
