What's Your Mouse Mat?

I'm sure everyone has got a strange mouse mat, rather than a good one.

I've got a Giftsplash.com one. I just remembered where I got it from, some crappy conference.

Why haven't I changed it for a super-cool Matrix 2 mouse mat? Because mouse mats are pretty crap.

here in the United States And America, we call them "mouse pads," which is silly, and tantamount to saying "mouse tampons."

Anybody with half a brain cell should have an optical mouse, in which case mouse mats/pads are superfluous. Perhaps now we'll all get themed desks, e.g. an inset of Fearne Cotton naked so you can keep your mouse on it and pretend it's a mouse mat/pad.
