Okay, okay... I know I sometimes tend to post gratuitous information an this site regarding the happenings in my grand state of Oklahoma. So, let me apologize in advance.
A couple of years ago our state voted to ban cockfighting. Since then, most of the counties in Eastern Oklahoma have filed, and been granted, injunctions against the law, thus making it legal still. Now, the issue comes to the foreground in local news again. I just thought you guys might enjoy a good laugh at the expense of the citizens of my great state.
This is this week's Oklahoma Gazette. Read the 'Chicken Fried News' story called 'Cockboxing.' Just ridiculous...

I thought a few people would do it in their shed, but it was a $100 million industry!! My God, that's huge!! There must have been cockfighting on every street corner to acheive that kind of revenue.
It would be funny to see chickens in boxing gloves, shoes and face masks though...I mean, beak masks.

Well, not every street corner...I mean, where would the hookers hang out?
Yeah, it is really huge in parts of the state, and that's why it's such a big issue here. I mean, I voted to ban it, but it literally put thousands of people out of business with no compensation.
(..and I thought the title might catch a few of y'all)

What college has the mascot the "Gamecocks"? I recall when I was in college this dumb ass that worked for the school paper published a story about the somewhat controversial nickname and thought it would be less offensive than "game vaginas". Obviously, he didn't realize what the hell a gamecock was. He must have thought it had some kind of homosexual connotation to it. I wrote a letter to the editor (which was published) ridiculing this idiot.
Anyway, did any of you ever see that Burger King commercial with the two guys in chicken suits kicking each others' ass? I'd pay to see that.

Gamecocks = The University of South Carolina.
Game vaginas? What a dumbass! I hope your letter told him so.

"Watch it Sir! Or I'll call on you and box your cock!"

cockboxing is two roosters or chickens fighting.

WUL, as cryotek said, it involves 2 roosters fighting. the thing is, until 2 years ago, my state (one of the last three in the US to allow it) had "cockfighting" as opposed to "cockboxing." in fighting, the roosers are trained to be violent and to try to kill each other. they have knives and blades strapped to their legs in order to cut the opposing rooser. a fighting ring is set up and two roosters are released into the ring to go at each other. people wager money on which rooster will win, much like in human boxing matches. in boxing, supposedly the roosters will have little tiny training bags attached to their legs so that they don't inflict mortal harm each other.
what's going on is that since fighting was outlawed, one of our state senators has proposed legislation to allow boxing.

Well, that's the problem. The issue was up for a vote 2 years ago. People on both sides of the issue protested. We voted. It was made illegal. The law went into effect. But as soon as it did, most of the counties in Eastern Okla along the Arkansas border went to court and got injunctions approved so that they can continue doing it legally.
Though I have a sneaking suspicion that my neighbor about a mile down the road has a breeding operation set up, and the county we live in still has the ban. I might jump his cattle guard and do some recon work on his land. Then again, he would legally be in his right to shoot me...so I might not....

Do a drive-by then.

Well, I have to drive by it every day. It is 3 miles from where I live to a main road, and I pass it on the way. This place has all these barrels set up like a fighting cock training ground, but it is a bit off the road, so I have to do some covert ops shit to get down to their property unseen. Plus, we have that "make my day" law here that says you are legally allowed to shoot someone if they are in your house and as far as I know, it probably extends to the property line. If I went and got myself shot doing cockfighting recon, then who would you have to tell you that the NE Pats suck ass? Who?

I meant like a drive-by shooting but was joking
following that I would have said
dress up in a chicken suit and
infiltrate their ranch in the wee hours of morning
and let all the roosters free.
These people are, sorry for the term, ignorant hicks
with nothing better to do apparently.
I don't think these people are that smart
obviously they aren't considering the reality
of what they are to doing to these animals
You could just call or write PETA,
seriously they'll get involved with a complaint like this.
You can also contact NAALPO who will investigate and issue a statement to
media sources nationally regarding the situation bringing their
organisation and/or acts out for the public to frown upon:

What better way to step in if the local law won't?

Washing Up.
A guy would have to have a pretty long cock, to swing it and hit someone in the head with it.
They could have called it Vagina boxing I guess.

Fish baiting? We have noodlin'. In fact, I read an article that said Missouri just legalized a noodlin' season once a year, so that makes 12 states I think.
