OK i went army training. it was brilliant! we did like this obstical corse and it had things like 15 foot high. and i relised i am scared of heights.
well the first thing i did was climb up a 6 foot wall and jumped off it and landed on my bum. then i did this 10 foot high thing and crawled across a plank thing and there was this 70 cm gap and i couldnt go past it. then an army man came up and started to try to help me, he told me to stand up so i did and then he gave me his hand and i did it! i was also the last one and only person scared of heights. and everybody cheered, then i had to slide myself down this rope and i got down ok.
then i did a cargo net thing which was like a 13 foot triangle, i got up ok, then i couldnt get my legs over. so this cute army guy says "i can see your bum rose!" and comes over to help me and he made me laugh so much. and he helped me, so i got down and again every1 cheered. he was great and i was so pleased i did it.
then i had to go up a 10 foot wall and the cute army guy helped me up and said "we gonna be mates for life rose?" and i was like yes.. and he said he was so proud of me for doing it, cos adults have bottled out of doing it! i was proud too. then we had to do it again!
and it was racing! i was up 4 it, then a girl goes "what about rose, she might not be able to do it" and i was like shut up! then i did do it, even though i was last i still did all of it, unlike some. and this boy helped me do the gap thing, he is so sweet and fit... neways
and cos the army cute guy was so proud of me, instead of going back to camp in a mini van, i went in his car! it was so cool! we went like 100 mph, and had the music loud, it was onli me him and another army person and it was great1 he kept making me laugh!
army guys r da best. its a fact!
also i want to join the army now!
AND I GET TO GO AGAIN! WOHO!

You really want to be in the military? Don't do this because you think the guys are cute...

When I was in high school, everyone took the ASVAB tests, which are the military's aptitude tests. It wasn't long before the Air Force was persuing me. I always dreamed of being a fighter pilot, but they told me since I wore glasses that I couldn't do it. I asked why, and they said everyone wants to be fighter pilot and they had to find some way to disqualify a lot of the applicants and that was one of the ways. I think that's crap. Sounds like discrimination to me. My family has a long history of military service, but I decided to go to college instead, since I had a full scholarship. Anyway, I was the first person in my family to graduate from a 4-year college.

I've been thinking of getting Lasik, but I have some reservations about having eye surgery. There is a new procedure that's being advertised right now that is supposed to be better. Funny thing is, they are about 1 block away from where I am right now.

I wore contacts for years, but my eyes would get too dry and it was quite bothersome.

I must add too that my old insurance at my old job used to cover it so it was only like $300 per eye, but I don't have that any more. I've seen it for around $500 per eye from reputable places, but I'd be afraid to go to the cheaper places. Your eyesight is nothing to screw around with.

I think it was respect for a lady that they were trying to pass off as "cool." Manners rock or something. :)

You are beautiful and a great figure.
If the coach hadn't said, look away, they would have been looking.
If they didn't they must have been dead, or castrated.

glad you had a good time WUL.....the confidence courses are great fun once you get over the fear of hights thing.....something I had no choice in the matter.
being the most senior cadet at my old CCF 'I' was called out to demonstrate a confidence course i'd never been on before while the instructor talked everyone through it. now i hate hights....i especially hate hights when your motionless and can feel the obstical your on wobble from side to side while you look down on everyone........i hate hights even more when the bunch of 16-17 year olds looking up at you from the ground are 'your' cadets and you can't afford to look scared for a second or risk loosing control of them next time you take them out on exercise (that age group are a nightmare to instruct).
needless to say i was up there for the better part of an hour just praying for it to be over.....unclipping my last cow clip as my feet touched the ground was heaven.
still i have no intention of joining the army
