I've been getting into a lot of ambient/chill out over the last few years - The Orb (Liked since school after hearing Little Fluffy Clouds), Sofa Surfers, Tosca, Hexstatic, Dub Trees, Hallucinogen, Hint, Bonobo, Merkin Dream, U.N.K.L.E., Theivery Corporation.
I also like Indie type stuff - Stone Roses (probably greatest band ever to grace the face of the Earth), Happy Mondays, Radiohead, Verve, Oasis, Spiritualized, Teenage Fanclub, The Zutons, Ian Brown, Badly Drawn Boy.
Plus, the old 60/70's stuff - Beatles, Stones, Zepplin, Floyd, Sabbath and Jimi Hendrix.
They are the main three food groups you'd be seeing in my music collection.

I listen to all kinds, but I really dig a lot of bluegrass and mountain music ala Nickel Creek, Iron & Wine (though it's really neither), Johnny Cash, Hayden, etc.
But REALLY I dig sludge... mmm
Electric Wizard, Suplecs, Iron Monkey, YOB, Sleep, Buzzov-En, Boris, etc. etc. etc.

This feels like an admission of guilt, but here goes:
My favorite band/artist is Bob Dylan.
My favorite song (other than the Star-Spangled Banner - I know, I know...) is Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay by Otis Redding
I am moving at the end of next month and have already packed up all of my cds except the following must-haves to get through the next month and a half:
*U2 - How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb (because it is new and I'm trying to figure it out)
*The Best of Simon and Garfunkel
*Supergrass - I Should Coco
*The Shins - Chutes Too Narrow
*Love Button - 17 Cleverly Disguised Songs About Smack (local band - very School House Rocks meets a crack dealer)
*Interpol - Antics
*Led Zeppelin - Four and another cd of mixed Zeppelin
*Liz Phair - live cd featuring songs from Exile in Guyville and Whipsmart
*Scott Keeton and the Deviants - local blues band
*Eiffel 65 - Europop (because I like it and I don't care who knows)
*Fatboy Slim - You've Come a Long Way Baby
*Hagfish - Caught Live (dallas, tx punkish band)
*The Essential Bob Dylan
There. Those are some names.

you said-- "*Eiffel 65 - Europop (because I like it and I don't care who knows)"
the end part just means that u think people will think its crap.
someone mention the zutons, they are hell good and yet not many people i know no about them, alot of other good bands where mentioned and some ones that i personly think are crap-- eiffel 65-- thats pure gold.

Cool, have fun
we wanna see em tomorrow in Providence too.
But alas we're strapped, no extra dinero
we figure they'll come thru again as they are a Boston
based act. Then again we still might try to make it.
Give some details from the show if we can't.

Shiola - Yeah, I have 'In It For the Money.' I thought about keeping it out of the packed boxes, too, but the copy of 'I Should Coco' is actually a burned copy with half a dozen songs from '...Money' on it. I sold my original copy of 'I Should Coco' back in college (probably for weed money). I think they'd be proud.
As far as Eiffel 65...the reason I said what I said is that most of my friends roll their eyes and protest when I pop it in the player. In fact, I rarely do any driving when I go out because I am a complete stereo nazi. I like to leave the thing on scan sometimes. I also have about 10 mixed cds in the car (all unlabeled and identical in appearance) and I let my friends pick which cd they want to listen to if they choose CD instead of Stereo. Ha, ha suckers!!
