Ahhh the pleasures of being a teenager, put it down to hormones and remind everyone that they were teenagers once.

even after you outgrow their effects

Thank God I'm past them...

Thx SR at least I am so far
Now that I feel completely ancient..lol

Shiola
24th January 2005, 07:45 PM
I'm 30.

I'm glad WUL put the age group of 26-35 - very tactful, I didn't feel so old. Now, if it had been 30-40...wow!!

Static - remember this. When WUL was born, you were still older than she is now...lol!!

Someone more clevererrer than me should calculate the medium, mean and average ages.

staticxess
24th January 2005, 07:46 PM
Actually I'm just afraid I'll be coined that "Old Guy"
unless someone older posts their age here!

C'mon
got to be an 80 year old in here!

Hammer
24th January 2005, 09:38 PM

Yes
And wow, by like what 40 years older than WUL?
I remember being a teenager like it was yesterday....ah
Ben thanks for making me remember my impending doom.
You're always such a buzz kill. lol

the mean is the same as the average silly :p

Jut
26th January 2005, 04:34 PM
well the median age group is 21-25 and so is the mean. but the standard deviation runs from 16-35. all in all the small sample size, uneven age boundarys and high SD mean that the only conclusion we can make is that the mean age lies somewhere betwen 16-35

washing up liquid
26th January 2005, 05:05 PM
lol ok

Jut
26th January 2005, 05:20 PM
well he asked! i think i deserve a prize or something

Shiola
26th January 2005, 05:36 PM
"the mean age lies somewhere betwen 16-35" - one of my tortured Goblins could have told us that.

We need more voting to get a bigger sample size so we can have a better conclusion. Jut - keep your egghead brain on hold until we have at least 30 votes.

BlackSunshineAZ
26th January 2005, 08:37 PM
my dad was 30 when i was born
ne of u a dad?

No, but I was almost a step-dad. Long story and I don't want to talk about it

Jut

*cough* i did point that out :p
anyhoo i'd just came back from a statistic and experimental design exam so i was kind of in the mood (for math).
:tongue8:<----this smile is so cute!

staticxess
26th January 2005, 09:15 PM
Yeah I was almost a step-dad too once or three times
I don't want to talk about that either,
BSAZ U & I R like twins or summik
I plan to adopt in the
not-so-immediate future.

Jut, I'm glad you cleared that up and glad to know
that I fit into the "Standard DEVIATION" (as I know I am deviated anyway)
and I also fit into the "Mean Age" category as well
(no wonder I feel like beating them nurses with my cane!)

And I agree that this is still a small sample size and uneven age boundaries
as there are still some people here who haven't voted and posted yet

C'mon gotta be an 80 yr. old Pre-vert in here! lol

BlackSunshineAZ
27th January 2005, 02:29 AM
What does "summik" mean? I've seen several people use that term.

Jut

Shiola
27th January 2005, 03:14 PM
Yeah, 'mode' - I remember that one, what is it though?

Jut
27th January 2005, 03:20 PM
the mode is the most frequently observed value....in this case the mode would be 26-35.
you can have more than one mode by the way.
