A statement was given that Bush was giving a "Hook 'em, 'horns" salute of the University of Texas Longhorns. Or was he??
Apparently Bush's salute got lost in translation in Norway, where shocked people interpreted his hand gesture during his inauguration as a salute to Satan.

I don't hate Texas so much, I have some familial roots there way back in the family tree.

Il Cornuto was it's Latin name it was considered a devil sign first used in Sicily to cast spells and stop the "Evil Eye" cold. Crazy silly italian catholics. Duh. It's concept was brought forth by Anton LaVey the founder of the Church of Satan. A fictional religion created by the con artist LaVey to dupe people into giving him money and anything he wanted including sex (hello) at the height of anti-christian, anti-social and anti-political movements in the sixties. His entire concept was based on complete bullshit, making it that much more deranged and sick. He even admitted it at it's height. Maybe LaVey was from Texas? He was quite the Bullshitter.

Satan is a fictionalised character created by the Church in the middle ages to scare people into showing up and donating money every week. Pure horseshit. Just like Satanism. Horseshit.

Tecnically, I am half-Texan. I tend to downplay that half and let my Oklahoman half squash it. But on a blatantly uninteresting note to anyone except me.... did anyone see Jamie Foxx win best actor on the Golden Globes? He thanked his hometown of Terrell, Texas. This, incidentally, is where my paternal grandparents live (still like them despite the jerk son that they spawned). And, umm... I was conceived in Terrell, Texas. Though, thankfully, my parents had moved back to Oklahoma before I was born.
