Did you come here from Edmontononline.com?
Just noticed a few hits coming from there. Just wondering what the commotion is?

WOAH!
I'm from just out of Saskatoon.
It's not that bad.
>< but of course, Toronto's better. I was there over Novemebr to be on Smart Ask.
That's right. I'm a tv star.

it's edmontononline.net, not .com
you're from detroit?
yeah, real nice place. if your idea of a real nice place is walking around in a gigantic waste town where everyone asks you for change and WILL rob you for orange juice.

same goes for toronto guy.
this place is booming. everywhere you look there's development and expansion. enjoy toronto. a city that was already there when you arrived. mind you, i did enjoy the weather in toronto, but it's not what i'd ever call home.

okay. touched a nerve obviously.
i'm actually a girl.
and what i like about toronto is the complete lack of times i've been attacked here. whereas in saskatoon i was attacked three times. for no reason. (no i'm not a gang member. i'm a regular girl.)
and my mom was broken into about nine times (including her garage). and the police were always slow, unkind and generally ineffectual. and my brother in law had his face smashed in with a hammer while he waited at a stoplight.
these all happened at various areas of saskatoon.
oh the lovely saskatoon memories.
it's ironic because people think toronto to be the more dangerous place. bigger city.
i just personally happen to feel oddly more secure living in toronto than i ever did in living in saskatoon.
Edmonton however ...
it was nice enough.
just boring.
i'd reached the end of searching for new things, new places.
and the people were no longer new.
the mountains though.
man, i do miss that.
i do not miss the winters however.
well that was an entirely happy post if i do say so myself :)

i like the weather here in toronto. that is true.
and the ease in getting to different places in the city and outer lying city limits. there is an excellent subway system. i don't have to worry about cars breaking down or the price of gas.
i do however miss getting out of the city.
hey, i guess, no matter what city you are in, it's still a city. and all cities suck, in one way or another. they each have good points and bad points.

yeah, good old s'toon. Highest damn crime rates in Canada. Probably why you got attacked so much, hmm?
I used to live in a little place in BC (Powell River) and the weather was SO nice. then my dad got a stupid transfer so I live in HELL. You know, last week, it snowed 2 hours from here? It's been feckin freezing. godsdamned province should make up its mind and get temperate already.
