So what is this? A lemon casting a shadow? The Sun casting a triangular shadow? The overpowering light of religion casting a Holy Trinity shadow over the grey masses? Social Responsibility forever separated from Capitalism, and it's profits shining brightly as hope, yet always in its shadow and feeling the sharp pangs of it's consequences?
I like to think it represents the artist shining brightly upon his audience, inviting their praise and admiration, whilst stealing the light from those that pay for his overly-pretentious musings therefore funding his existance and promoting the growth of his art further and further up his own arse. Dragging his audience along with him, letting them bask in the warmth of his fame and wonder at the size of the price tag, forever deflecting them away from the fact that the actual piece of art is actually a piece of shit.
What do you think?
